Tao Te #73 ~ Courage
Courage expressed through daring
is likely to lead to death
Courage restrained with caution
will continue the journey of life
this is tao of courage
daring versus self-restraint
each decisive moment
can yield love or hate
sometimes it helps
sometimes it harms
whether decided early or late
by mathematics, chance
or a mark on a slate
the sage understands the way
and chooses to dwell within DivineUnity
knowing that wisdom means not to contend
not to discourse but rather to respond
not to push for an outcome
but to allow one
to manifest
to be like the tortoise
who takes time to plan
then execute
knowing the divine net is wide
and there is nowhere to hide
the master has always taught
that we will find
that which is sought
nothing is won
no one can be lost

What can this teach us?

What is the Tao of Courage?
Why is it wise not to contend?
Why is it wise to be like a tortoise?
